Capstone Launches PebbleGo Next: Social Studies
Research Database Connects to Social Studies Content
MINNEAPOLIS, Minn. – August 16, 2017 – Capstone, a leading publisher of children’s books and digital products and services, announces the launch of its newest database module, PebbleGo Next: Social Studies. Introducing social studies content targeted to grades 3-5 curriculum, the new module joins the previously released databases PebbleGo Next: Science and PebbleGo Next: States and American Indians.
PebbleGo Next: Social Studies features 150 articles aligned with national curriculum standards for social studies. The module’s robust content explores: Culture (community and self, examining world cultures, and global issues), Economics, Fields of Study, Geography (continents, U.S. landforms, and individual articles on state capitals, reading maps, and natural and human-made boundaries), Technology and Society (global communication, media literacy, and the history of technology), and the United States (government, U.S. history, landmarks, and symbols). The module includes an activity to explore in each subcategory, as well as a video and critical thinking prompts for each article.
